Floating Bed Is Sleek

OK the bed isn’t exactly floating, but it definitely has that Jetsons futuristic feel. Created by Andrea Lucatello of Cattelan Italia, the “floating bed” is sleek, modern and really accentuates the bedroom. Bed are known to be traditionally clunky, heavy and just take up a lot of room. The best part of this piece of furniture is that it goes against grain. The design alone is in a league of its own. With a complementary bed stand and nice small chest of drawers to accentuate the feel.

Placement of the bed is crucial to the layout of the bedroom and really matters when thinking about a purchase. The “floating bed” has special circumstances in how it should be placed. If you look on the image below, you’ll noticed that it owns the middle of the bedroom.

This is important because it allows the bed to breathe. If pushed against a wall horizontally or cornered off in the dark part of the room, the bed no longer emits the desired feeling.

The bed can only be custom ordered at this time and be prepared to pay big bucks. The add-ons include a beautiful soft leather upper, that definitely adds to ensemble. We’re not saying it’s recession proof, but you’d definitely be sleeping in style!
