EarthLust Steel Water Bottles

So, I recently got a steel water bottle to try out. I’ve seen people using these on walks, or on bike rides, or I guess just anywhere they want something cold to drink. I always wanted one. The one I received is from EarthLust.com. I was pretty excited to pick from all the really fantastic designs they have available and was not even aware at the time that some of the designs were personally drawn by Allison, the owner of EarthLust. That sort of makes it feel special. I chose the green Parsley bottle. I am a very earthy-tone kind of gal who loves antiques and vintage design so this felt like it ft me to a “T”. I could see myself carrying it everywhere I went and that’s what matters! I was also quite interested in the fact that EarthLust uses non-toxic paints on their bottles and the caps are BPA-free. It’s important to know that you won’t be putting any toxins or chemicals into you or your children’s mouths.

The bottle came to me with great timing and was packaged so nicely. The bottle was so beautiful that I had to try it out right away! Of course I washed it first ad noted that on their website they recommended using a baking soda or diluted white vinegar wash to preserve the clean, neutral taste over time. But I can brush it if I needed to. Then I filled her with water. Mmmm… nice and cold. Grant it, the water was cold when I put it inside, but it remained cold for quite sometime. The only small issue I have been having is the twisting cap. Oh, it doesn’t leak or anything, but it is a bit awkward to twist when you want a drink or when you close it up again. I just feel as though I’m twisting it for a long time and the buckle that comes with it can get in the way. Other than that, I am so happy with this bottle because I know that I am doing something good for the environment and myself. Plus, it is rather stylish!! (Note: After speaking to someone at EarthLust, I have a solution to the cap issue I was having! Just get one with a Sports Cap. I don’t know why I never thought of that. They have Sports Caps to fit all the different bottle sizes they carry. Perfect!)

EarthLust’s bottles are made from high quality stainless steel. Did you now that such a high quality steel is completely safe without a lining? Well it is, and EarthLust makes sure they don’t line their steel with harmful products that many other companies use. They also wanted to create these bottles to eliminate the need for and waste of prepackaged, individual drink bottles; so buying one of their bottles is helping the environment! I really recommend you check these folks out. They seem like a nice sweet family with a heart for helping others.
