Home decor retailers are funny sometimes. Most places have a certain look, style or trend that they follow and it can be quite frustrating to find what you want if you have to browse several stores or websites. I am not really one who likes a modern look. I guess some modern looks can strike me, but for the most part I am more traditional or vintage. However, I do like to mix and match my tastes in order to create my own unique style. I also have a husband with his own favorite looks and pieces which can throw my home decor desires for a loop.
But a new place just plopped into my lap the other day and I was rather surprised. It’s called Plow and Hearth. The name to me says “Country”, so I was a little put off at first, since my style is not country. But I was pleased with how eclectic their products are! I realized that after visiting the site, “Plow” and “Hearth” are just a fun way of saying “Your Outdoors” and “Your Indoors”. Not only do they sell Outdoor Furnishings for contemporary, traditional and standard styles but they also carry Gardening supplies, Home decor pieces and even footwear! Now the home products are full of personality. You will find country pieces like wreaths, braided rugs and woodsy furnishings, but the site is also filled with items that I could just as easily discover at Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel. Really, everything you need to make your home and garden is right there at Plow & Hearth.
I was so pleased with what I saw that I knew NiceDwells just had to review it. The Company was kind enough to send us a sample to test out. Last week I received my Terra Cotta Cascading Fountain, and it is gorgeous. I really love it! The coolest things about this fountain is the fact that it runs on solar energy. I knew our readers would love this earthy pleasing item – and I hope you do! Basically, the fountain runs whenever the solar panel is met with sunlight. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of direct sunlight in my yard, so my fountain doesn’t run all the time (sadly). But this item is great for the rest of you with very sunlit back or front yards. It’s beautiful and the soothing sounds of water relax me. It also comes in Hammered Aluminum or Terra Cotta.
I sincerely recommend this place to you because it just has so many products to choose from in many styles that I know you will all enjoy. You could spend all day on their site. Happy Shopping!

I have often thought of devising a planter that decreases the need to water the plants in them and Voila there in the catalog is the Self Watering Planters. Someone was smarter and quicker. That's a product I would love to have for the patio.
