Give Your Trees a Little Color with Circle Pots

It seems like people are coming up with all sorts of ways to pot their plants these days and these Los Angeles made Circle pots from the Atwater Village garden store Potted are absolutely no exception. Designers Annette Goliti Gutierrez and Mary Gray said the containers were inspired by the hanging ceramic ashtrays of the 1960s – Wild! “We thought, what if we made a hanging planter like that?” Gutierrez said. “Cool hanging planters are very hard to come by.”  And these planters are quite cool.  If you see a few dangling in someone’s yard, I’m sure it really adds a burst of cheery color to the trees.

These circles are designed so that a 4-inch nursery pot will fit right inside of them.  Each one measures 12 inches in diameter and comes with an 18-inch stainless steel cord, which can be removed if you want the piece as tabletop decor. If you want to plant right into the container, drill a drainage hole in the bottom.  It’s kind of sad that the circles are only available in two colors: Orange You Glad and White Cloud.  Perhaps it is a good thing however, for if there were more colors, you may end up spending a fortune.  The Circle Pots are each $75 at the store!  I just don’t know about that.  But they sure are fun and festive to look at.  Especially for the summer.
