Deep down inside Merrideth Kalil always knew she’d work in retail. After all, she studied it in school (way back before fantastical things like online stores existed) and admits that shopping has always made her happier than chocolate. Or even puppies. She spent much of her life walking city streets, peering into the windows of stores she envied, trying to get a clue. Without realizing it, she began to build something in her mind. And soon she found herself actually designing and building something real. So when she launched Seltzer Studios in November of 2009, it just sorta felt right.
These days she keeps busy with her favorite pastime-turned-business: shopping. Or as she prefers to call it, “surrounding herself with things she finds unique, interesting, functional, well-designed and inspiring.” Yes, she still wanders city streets window shopping. But now, every time she finds an item or designer that inspires her, she adds them to her online shop so all the good people of the world (or at least the ones with internet access) can surround themselves with inspiration too.
What kind of stuff can you find at Seltzer Studios? Everything from dish towels and aprons to Bird Magnets and Antique Spool Wall Pegs. Basically anything you need for your kitchen, your office, your decor, gift giving and much more. Each and every item has a distinctly unique style that will keep you coming back for more.
